Since the early years of his reign King Zwelithini has indefatigably traversed the length and breadth of several continents in an attempt to procure foreign funding aimed at kick-starting several rural-development projects that he has envisioned for the enlistment of his subjects.

Visits to the international community are often used by His Majesty to promote the Zulu kingdom and the country at large in an effort to bolster tourism. These visits have also been an eye-opener with regard to the survival mechanisms adopted y other developing nations.

“However, our local people need to become really innovative and do everything in their power to attract and encourage tourists to come to KZN, South Africa and the SADEC countries.  We also need to show potential investors that we are prepared to do things for ourselves,”says King Zwelithini.
